Ricky Gervais (”Extras”, “The Office”), el multifacético actor, productor y guionista británico, agrega ahora a su lista de roles el de director. Su opera prima, titulada “The invention of Lying”, se ubica en un mundo donde la mentira no existe y la práctica común de la gente es decir siempre la verdad.

La película, que antes se iba a titular “The side of truth”, sitúa a Ricky Gervais como el único hombre en el planeta que puede mentir. Acompañandolo en este periplo humorístico estarán Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill, Patrick Stewart y Jason Bateman.

Tenemos disponible el primer teaser trailer de esta película, que promete mucho humor del bueno. El estreno de la misma está planificado, en el país del Norte, para el día 25 de septiembre de este 2009.
